Why does Pizza taste better the next day?

Almost everytime just doesnt make sense can be cold or re-heated tastes much better. I asked pizza hut and my local joint none could explain it... my local joint pettrillo's if you live in so cal and havent had it missing out big time

I'm the same way as the OP; next-day pizza does taste better to me. I can't explain it either (maybe the firmness/texture?).

well 3 things 1) I live in LA and my spanish is so so i probably wouldnt understand if they did mock me. 2) its honest work BUT they work for the mcdonalds of Fast food pizza joints are they really in a position to laugh/mock anybody? 3) Its not really a silly question since soo many people like next day pizza google it Pettrillo's really took it serious its family owned they've known me for years if it was a silly question sal would tell me.

Does it? For some reason, day-old pizza looks and tastes dry and very salty. It's still good, though, but definitely not better (for me)

I had a fishing buddy that was strange that way. He preferred his pizza cold, same thing with fried chicken. He also likes his cereal soggy, he was a pretty good fisherman tho.
