You don't get unemployment forever and once it expires your not counted anymore and once you drop off the number the government uses gets smaller. All these government numbers are bullshit. They say there is no inflation to fuk all the social security recipients but last time I checked gas was $3.70 a gallon and my energy company just hit me for a $12 monthly increase. Not to mention all food prices are way up as well.

The basic calculation used to find the unemployment rate is the total amount of people who are out of work but seeking employment, divided by the total amount of people in the labor force. The labor force is defined as anyone who is either currently working at a job, or actively seeking a job. People that do not have jobs (yet are not trying to get one) are not part of the labor force, and are not technically considered unemployed. Often seeking a job within the past month is used as qualification for being considered in the labor force.

Big corporations have been getting smart the past 3 years by drastically cutting full time jobs. Instead, they hire a ton of part time workers so they gave save millions on health care and paid vacations
