DV has always been shameful. Even when I REALLY want to watch a game--I will turn the channel on him. His act was old halfway thru his first season.

I can't stand listening to George Grande do a baseball game. He's got a decent voice and good delivery, but it's like listening to a Disney character with G rated stuff, there's NO off color or sense of normal adult humor. Honestly, how many 6-9 year olds are actually listening to a Reds broadcast at 730pm or later every night. FoxSports OHIO finally retired him last year. It was such a relief to not have to hear "Albert Puholtz" 100 times a game. It's Pujols- as in multiple deficational outlets- Pooh- Holes. I would turn down the sound and listen to the outstanding radio tandems the Reds have, but that delay would drive me nuts.

George Grande= super nice guy, lots of contacts around the league, lots of inside info, but maddening delivery (in terms of content and mispronunciations) to the normal demographic.

Larry Merchant is always in slow mo. Its extremely aggravating, to the listeners, and his coworkers.

Ralph Lawlor and Smith for the Clippers are Horrendous.The deep voiced Play by Play guy for the HEAT Broadcasts is good but the deep radio voice is annoying any ex jock colour guy for baseball Mark Grace for the Dbacks the worse of them all has to be Ted Leitner of the Padres is the worse period.

I find this answer stunning. I think Pat Summerall is the best announcer ever. I have always felt that if I was doing color with Pat Smmerall doing the play by play or main announcing, whether it was NFL or Golf, he would make me sound good. In the 70s when they fired Tom Brookshire and broke up Summerall and Brookshire from the #1 CBS announcing team, that was terrible and then Pat hooked up with Madden before Madden got too full of himself and it was even better. he was great with Ken Venturi at golf. my take.
