I ate at a place called "The Stinking Rose". All the dishes have garlic in them. Excellent food.

Dave Chapelle's comment is about as relevant now as Dave Chapelle is. The Tenderloin is now one of the most exciting parts of the City for food. Sure, you don't want to get caught on Turk St., but if you want mind-blowing Vietnamese, then the TL it is. Then, of course, there's Morty's Deli, Hooker's Sweet Treats, and that Bolivian place. Plus, there's a new pan-Pacific cafe with outdoor seating that I hear is very nice.
