The British versions of both of those shows are exponentially better. Gordon's Best Restaurant or something on BBC is really good too.

That show's bullshit. I watched one episode where they had one of the "best restaurants" and one of the servers didn't realize one of the people at a table didn't get his meal like 15 minutes after everyone else got theirs.

GTFOOH!

Shitty restaurants don't do that!

When the show begins you wonder how any of the contestants could possibly be a head chef, but he always seems to find a diamond in the rough.

The show is mostly cooks with a few chefs, I like that he does try to give someone a chance that would not get one where they are in their careers. When I really want to see chefs doing crazy stuff, I prefer Top Chef, Iron Chef and even Chopped.
