if you into commercial payton. big was that dude that could bring you everything:"when i die fuk it i wanna go to hell, cuz im a piece o shiz aint hard to fukkin tell, dont make sense going to heaven wit da goody gooides, dressed in white, i love black tims and black hoodies, god'll probly have me on some real weak shiz,no sleepin all day, no gettin my dic licked, hangin wit dem goody goods loungin in paradise, fuk dat shit, i wanna tote guns and shoot dice....when you name an album 'ready to die'and then spit a verse like that, crazy...dat dude iz the ultimate lyricist. pac can say some gangsta shiz, but big can tell a story, clown a nicca, and make a party joint. "greatest rapper of all time died on march 9th" and thats word....

He fell off with the whole Texas rap movement during the mid 2000's. He is still killing it, but he is doing more underground shiz. Truthfully that's his best work. All of his commercial albums fail to compare.

Wow, that question is way to general. Maybe it can work for 20 year olds. But at my age I can't pinpoint 5 albums. Maybe 5 each from the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's. Or 5 each from different catagories like rock, alt. rock, folk, reggae, etc....
I have seen so many great albums in forty years, 5 is just not possible. That being said. In no order.
1 Anything by The Grateful Dead, even though their albums never came close to a concert.
2 Anything by Bob Marley or Peter Tosh.
3 The Woodstock Album, and please don't take the brown acid.
4 Anything by Canadians Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot or The Band.
Tool and Dylan were already mentioned, so I won't.
5 Anything from the Seattle Grunge scene in the 90's.
I'm up to 5 and haven't even started. Pink Floyd, Zappa and many others have not even been mentioned. Anyone know Billy the Mountain, by the Mothers of Invention ( Frank Zappas Band?)

1. Black Sabbath - Master of reality
2. N.W.A. - Niggaz 4 life
And about 50 albums tied for 3rd.
It's good to see Ready to Die getting so much love. That album was a classic the day it dropped.
