Why does Matthew Mconhaghey always play these incredible lawyer roles?

It just doesnt fuckin fit, hes trying to play roles that need to be delivered by an actual actor not just a pretty/dumb face, I think he played a perfect Brandon Lang, Lang is a complete fuckin idiot and McConaghy played that role very well, if you had put a great actor to play Lang it wouldve come across as acting bc its hard for good actors to play idiots, its bc the audience doesnt believe a guy like Pacino is a moron and they dont believe McConaghy is smart

I've seen it it was lame, I mean he just doesnt play that role well. Look McConaghy is great to look at but defending a black man accused of murder in the deep south is just not the right role for him. McConaghy comes off as just a dumb pretty face, have you seen real good lawyers, they aint fuckin pretty, they're some ugly ass motherfuckers BUT if your ass was on the line for murder you want that ugly genius raping ppl on the stand for ya rather than some dude like McConaghy who talks like hes high and just wants to go surfing, I mean honestly when I hear McConaghy talk its like theres not a braincell in his head, this made him the dream role for Lang of course and roles of that nature, romantic comedies for example where high intelligence is not important.

Opening weekend 4th in the box office you call good, I mean what did it do knock an indy film with a 20k budget down to 5th? You do realize movies normally cut their profits 25%+ each week after opening weekend so with a 40 mil budget this movie will be lucky to break even
