I do a buck or two, generally some high school kid making min wage. They seem more deserving than say the Starbuck A-holes with their "Tip" cups.

i've been caught between a few times. I usually ask the person I'm with. Tipping is ridiculously overrated as it is.

do you tip person that hands you the food through the window at the drive through? no. same concept expect the person handing you the food in your car is on wheels

edit: and 1) who eats at sonic, and 2) who eats in their car at sonic

i used to back when i paid cash but the debit thing doesnt even give you an option, i shouldnt have to anyways all they are doing is bringing the food out. you dont tip the drive through window person do you

Always ask myself, and anyone im with the same thing, I never know if I should.

This one time we sat in the spot and hit that button like 3 different times for more food ... we tipped that time.

i alwse tip i find that anyone who has ever worked in this type of industry tip often and well and people who have never expereanced working for a living stiff people often.

most people have bigger fish to fry then whether to tip or not tip, maybe if u made more money u wouldnt have to worry about being a cheap bastard.

I always tip about a buck or so for carryout stuff like the sonic chicks or when you pick up a pizza or whatever. It's just because they make min wage and probably get shitty hours so they kinda need tips to survive or at least to be able to buy a beer every once in a while.

If its a huge order like $100+ I might tip 5 bucks but that's special circumstances

I have never been to Sonic so I am not sure. I can guarantee you one thing though, if the girl flashed a little titty or let her nips slip out a little then I would tip her. But not if she is in high school girl like some posters above mentioned. I would look away then.
