What do all the stars mean by Charlie Sheen and Diablo? Do you know? And if it's purely for 'medicinal' purposes how do people know which one to buy? Does the guy behind the counter help you figure out which type is best for your condition??

This stuff fascinates me. Have never been in an actual legal shop before and definitely didn't realise they had signage like a deli.

i'm assuming the stars mean they are new product/strain.

different strains have different effects on the body. there are, in a general sense, two basic types of weed: sativa and indica. sativa's are more of a "head high": uplifts moods and gives a sense of optimism. also provides pain relief for minor aches. contrary to popular stereotypes, it actually gives the user a feeling of increased energy, and is good if you have for daytime use. indicas generate more of a body high. better for aches and pains and often used in treating insomnia (i think i need some of this shit). they can generate a sluggish feeling, or "kill off", for lack of a better term, motivation receptors.

there are plenty of dispensaries, as they are known, in california. i believe there are closing in on ten thousand in the state alone. they are staffed by experts in everything ganja, or weedologists as i come to call them. so yes, they will help the patient find the strain best to fit their symptoms. they also have other goodies such as topical creams, food stuff containg THC for those that don't like to smoke or cannot smoke for whatever reason.

from the looks of it, the Charlie Sheen must be some potent shit. its the most expensive strain on the board along with venus. personally i wouldn't trust anything called charlie sheen cuz we all know charlie ain't simply smoking the herb. who knows what is laced in with the weed

and another thing, if you are truly interested in this stuff, i'd recommend a movie doco for ya. its called superhigh me. basically this comedian takes the premise of supersize me but applies it to marijuana, so he basically smokes weed all day everyday for a month. in doing so, he examines the conflict between state and federal jurisdiction in regards to the legality of marijuana. basically dispensaries are licensed by either the state or municipality to grow and distribute marijuana. they are held against strict standards to ensure the safety of the product and to the consumer. the federales were very thuggish under the bush admin, drawing up comparisons to the stormtroopers of hitler's germany. but obama backed off this policy, and has allowed dispensaries to conduct business free from harassment of federal enforcement.

it is really, really easy to obtain a script from a doctor allowing people to purchase marijuana. once you get this clearance, you can basically get it anytime you wish. i can guarantee if you or i moved there we would be able to obtain this script. the little one giving you bumps on the noggin?? check, there's your pass.

anyway, do check out the doco if you're interested. its rather silly but provides great insight into the daily operations of a dispensary, the hstory of the conflict against mary-jane, and the overall culture of pot smoking. there are thousands, upon thousands of strains in existence. Amsterdam holds an annual cannibis cup which awards various honors to the best growers/strains. my friend's friend actually entered into the contest this past year. i need to ask him how he did, i'm sure he did well, cuz he is the most knowledgeable person on i know on the subject

All of this happened after I moved from LA. Unreal that they have these everywhere now. I remember going with friends to little shops in Silverlake and Venice Beach that looked like clothing stores from the outside but they had bongs and stuff in the back. "Crystals" are little particles on the bud that contain high concentrations of thc. So the more crystally the bud the more potent it will be. All depends on what seeds the grower has and whether or not they can germinate the little plant fellows properly.

i wouldnt fukn ever buy from a dispensary, they rename shit, rename clones, rename everything, who knows what the fuk u get and where the fuk its been. everytime theres some new fuken news story or headline they fuken rename an existing strain, and vwalla, they have a new strain.

i mean come on, it takes months of breeding to create a new strain, these fukrs come out overnight with a new strain.

it is physically impossible to just create new shit overnight.

crystals? holy fuk. it's called a trichome, and they grow in diff sizes/shape depending on genetics. there are 3 main types of trichomes-bulbous, capitate-sessile, and capitate-stalked.

stealthyburito, trichome volume has no direct correlation to potency, sorry charlie.

Super high me doesnt really offer that much insight into the history or operational aspects of marijuana. It just documents one guys experiences.

The real documentary that I think you are confusing this with is called "The Union." Its incredibly well done, and gives you all the information you listed above. It literally talks about the history and business of a very complex industry. One of my favorite all time documentaries, and ive seen quiet a few in my day.

Its available to steam instantly on Netflix, I highly advise everyone to check it out.

A "consultant" and a "Moderator" talking about weed....corporate needs to get a hold of their personnel and discuss the policy on how employee's behavior reflects on the overall site. This is definitely a huge concern from a corporate standpoint.

Uhh NO.. not at all.. look up Harborside San Jose & Oakland, MHPC, Elemental Wellness.. These shops in north cali have the best and grow some of their own strains.. not watered down at all

especially since they carry my strains..

that's all it seems to be. smoked a lot like northern lights strains. pretty strong head high, but i'll stick to my usuals. was a smart marketing move though.
