I never went for the gay hair and makeup of the 80's but I sure loved the music. Bring that music back!

        hated that 80's shit

this would be a good thread though, too bad it will be sent to the saloon because its not about sports & will never be seen again

Remember when players talk was about talk????

Well, it still is for certain threads or when Bobby or Shari go take a piss & dont see threads to move around

There are maybe TWO bands and ONE artist from the 80's that have transcended the time period and that anyone gives a crap about today, tommorrow, or 20 years from now. U2, The Cure, and Michael Jackson (dont personally care for him).......that's it. I grew up listening to all that "Hair Band" crap in the 80's and now I look back and wonder what the hell was I thinking. The 80's were the worst decade ever for music, style, and culture.......period

Wow, if you really believe that than, unfortunately, you're way past clueless son...or you're probably European. In which case I suppose you're a big David Hasselhoff fan too then? So we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Yeah I miss those days; wild times for sure.

I saw quite a few bands in concert. Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Dokken, Loudness, Cheap Trick, Ozzy Osbourne.

And MTV was still a network for music videos.

Loudness? That´s seriously obscure and I´m a bit jealous. I have all their albums but didn´t expect to see them mentioned in a betting forum in 2011...

A little kitschy, but still a great decade, especially in music. The Cure were awesome.

The 80's almost killed me numerous times, I have a special place in my heart for those years. Anyone that says otherwise didn't live through them. Early-mid 80's greatest half a decade ever.
