America is a continent. The geographic location you are referring to is called the 'United States of America'.

The US does not hold more wealth than other countries. In fact, we are in so much debt, that tiny little 3rd world countries have more money than the US does.

Scotland invented the TV.
Democracy was invented by the Greeks in the 6th century CE.

First off i love this country i see it as a great place that has provided me the son of a fisherman with a comfortable standard of living and an opportunity through education to better myself. This country has a moderately effective system but it allows for change giving it the potential to always better ourselves. However your arguments are incredibly flawed and mostly untrue as chili pointed out. and one more thing that should be noted WWII was truly a world war America was vital in the success however only because England held the German war machene at bay for long enugh for us to slug into action and if you were not aware we made it to Germany from the east but just as important there was the russian front who fought on there own soil and lost much more than we did to keep Germany spliting there forces in a multi front war and they also kicked ass and met us in germany from the west. Not to mention a lot of American success is due to luck of us taking a hugely bountiful resource filled land at little to no cost built on the backs of African slaves in the south near slave Asians in the west and near slave immigrants in the north giving us a terrific infrastructure through this massive country for pennies on the dollar of what it would have cost if it was done with human rights in mind. so God bless America but don't be an arrogant d-bag because were not perfect

That debt does not mean crap, the United States can say fuk off we ain't paying. What are these smaller countries going to do? Come get it from us. No. The United States still has more Gold in reserves than any other country and a decent amount of oil reserves. Canada has the second largest oil reserve in the world. A lot of gold can go a long way in the friendship department.

The US even hinting at defaulting on any of its debts (bilateral or bonds) would see interest rates sky-rocket and the currency collapse.

USD 300bn in gold reserves is a drop in the ocean.

and in a total word collapse the one with the most gold is standing in front. the United States would be the wealthiest. I don't think the US is going to default on anything. Yeah about the debt, we have so much debt for the same reason Bill Gates has a lot of debt, because we're rich. We would never default on it but even if we did no other country can do anything to us because we have the biggest strongest army so the world is basically our playground and has to do what we say. Whoever wags the biggest stick gets to say what goes, and America can therefore never go broke since that debt isn't ever repayable. Other countries know they have to keep producing for us to consume and we will keep giving them the world reserve currency: US Dollars. That is the reality of being a dominant superpower master, the little peons that are other countries simply aren't powerful enough to force us to do anything, while we are powerful enough to force this US reserve currency system on them so that we can consume more than we produce.

Damn it feels good to live in the modern equivalent of the Roman Empire.

After reading this all America has is "Power"? So having "Power" makes you a great place to live? The Government has the "Power" the average American has nothing to do with this. exactly the U.S prints the currency for which oil,gold and every other commodity is traded in , everyone else has trade with the u.s in order to get that currency

The Western European economy is so much stronger then America's (England/Germany/France/Scandinavia/Holland). And what about Japan and upcoming China?
Did you know America has one of the highest unemployed % of the world? Did you know wages in Western Europe are higher? Do you know that western Europe does not lack 3000 billion as the USA does? etc.
I doubt you got more freedom than Europe has.

i am not an american, but lots of you guys tell me that. Also I heard from a rich guy who wrote few proposals which became laws in Texas(very smart one) - that Obama is a communist and you guys should really watch out for 1. Liberalism you are spreading throughout the country 2. Communist ideas and stuff invading your society - once US becomes communist - you better leave the country right away.
I have lived in Montana for a while and tell you what - the old US is much better than it is now, so i think if you flood NY and LA - you would only gain, not lose.
SBRfolks from NY or La - it doesn't have to deal anything with you, but with the political and social influence of those 2 areas. Christianity dies - Crap arises. You country is so prosperous cause it was started by Christians. NY and LA are your rusted nuclear bombs - that could blow up the country in a day - and you don't know when. I will preface this with I love america but some people are just ignorent we are wealthy as a whole nation but we are only 4th in GDP. not to mention were 92nd in distribution of that wealth. AND We are not as powerful as we would like to think we are yes US military may be #1 at the moment but there isnt that huge of a gap betwene 1-2-3-4 if we sead f off world and china russia germany allied agenst us we would be ******. The world is a changing place and as outher countries are booming we are becoming stagnent. Things can and will alwase change and as a country we need to adapt to remain the powerhouse we are.
