it's just basically a big itouch. Or an iphone with no camera (until next version comes out). If you don't like your iphone, you won't like the ipad. For me, I usually just take the ipad around for the kids to watch movies on or for my kid to play video games on. I can surf the web and check e-mail, but yeah, obv laptop is more functional. It is what it is. An expensive toy, but depending on your situation (i.e. will keep my kids occupied for hours at a time), it's well worth it IMO.

The DROID platform will fail in the end if they dont learn how to make Apps that function smoothly because APPLE is locking down on APPs fast.
