I told them from the beginning the threads need to be separated from the Players Talk else it will become a dump place for PT.

I have an idea that not many people will like, make Players talk private for SBR PRO's only and the non pro's can have the Saloon. In turn SBR could get more sign ups for the Pro program with people wanting to know whats going on in players talk.

I am in favor of the saloon and will do what I can to make it a success here at sbr. I don't see why everyone is whining like little bitches. So some of the threads will go in the saloon instead of players talk. Big deal? Really?

I believe that this idea has merit, SBR_John should consider this. I do think it could help in converting members to go pro.

i think the saloon is ok.. atleast there isnt all sports talk.. its a lot of off topic stuff and that is fun to read sometimes too

I don't mind the Saloon...but again...if you want it to work, POST LINKS FOR IT. Say like in the forum Jump drop down, and the sbrforum drop down at the top of the page. Why can SBR not do this?

Exactly! This is the purpose of creatin the saloon forum. To seperate sports related talk and everything else. I don't understand why some are making a big stink about it. There is plenty things going on at the forum worth complaining but this isn't one of them.

PT is the creme de la creme for majority who are posting. People want their threads to get views and replies, so their original posts will never start in The Saloon simply because they have a better chance of getting views and responses in PT, especially if they're off topic. This has to be one of the toughest sells SBR will ever encounter. If it works, I'll be very impressed and enjoy watching it all unfold... if not then get rid of it all together or simply dump all threads that don't see enough action into it... and rename it "The Dumpster".

^^^ Paver... you think more logically than 95% of the people here and probably 100% of the people that post in PT. I'd say I'm a pretty logical thinker when I want to be. Like I said kudos if they make it work, but a tough sell none the less. We are not all Pavers here if ya catch my drift.

I actually think what kills The Saloon is the fact SBR shows how many viewers there currently are next to every category before entering. This probably dictates where people are going to post moreso than anything else.

The Saloon is not going to work. People are going to post in Players talk whatever they want and it will get moved by a mod. A waste of a mods time to have to move threads all day long.

The Saloon will work. Guys will eventually adjust and before you know it saloon will be above players talk. Just wait and see.

apparently someone complained about the NSFW pictures by Dad in Players Talk...

maybe we should separate the gambling from everything else .
