Glad your considering American. When you say "new car" , do you mean brand new, or used? If used, what years and milage are you looking at? Do you need 4x4? What do you need this truck to do for you?

why are you only considering american?
trying to give a push to the local economy? if thats the case, good for you, if you only care about getting a good car at a good price you should probably look into the asian cars, maybe even european

If you have been around cars long enough, you realize that all cars are pieces of shit. If you are going for pure reliability, get a little Toyota with zero options. The more options and toys you have, the more your going to have to fork over cash to people like me.
The reality is, if you are going to buy a new car with a warranty and are only planning on driving it for a few years, get whatever you like. If you're buying a used car or a new one you plan on keeping for a decade, then its time to do some more serious research.

haha... We joke that Jaguars are for people who are fans of mystery and suspense: "Is it going to start?", "Am I going to make it home?"
They should include a free AAA membership with purchase .

i mean brand new, i dont really need a 4x4, i need this truck to carry mostly my dogs (a boxer and a dalmatian), or just to carry luggage and family sometimes

If thats the case, go ahead and skip the 'hoe. As far as the Enclave vs. Acadia. They are twins. Same platform, same everything. The only difference will be cosmetic and perhaps interior options. Drive them both and choose whichever you like best. Think of them as a really big car instead of a truck like the Tahoe. The only benefit I see to the Tahoe is that it's built on a well established platform that has proved itself over the years, while the Enclave & Acadia are built on a relatively new platform with a new 3.6L engine that hasn't been around long enough to earn my trust.
Hope this helps.
