Dwighty there is a difference between USE of power and ABUSE of power and as the 'world leader' you guys should be setting an example to the rest of us. Alot of ppl (understandably so) believe u guys abuse your power and arent held accountable for your actions (ie bush and cheney with no charges for war crimes as a quick example..there's many MANY more)...Message that sends to the international community is that whilst you talk about freedom and democracy you also set the bar when it comes to hypocrisy and double standardization....I believe thats where alot of the discontent towards USA originates from...GLComment -
I guess there is no scientific way to prove it so we will just have to agree to disagree. The world can be an ugly place as seen throughout history. Hard choices have been made in the past and will continue to be made in order to keep some kind of sanity. Yes innocent people will die but freedom must be defended. The US never set out to eliminate an entire race or religion and I am sure they would rather not get involved in disputes all over the world but reality says they must. If not them, then who? I can see your point. Its easier to say these things than to actually think about and attempt to co-ordinate the alternative. I wouldve said the UN could possibly be a care-taker commander and chief for the western world but they have shown themselves to be limp time and time again and lack any real leadership, even though the organization itself is represented by almost every country on earth, so youd think that if they finally got their sh$t together they could find some alternative...GLComment -

Look at the cartoonist who drew a political cartoon about their leader, the Muslims decided the punishment for cartoon drawing and adultery should be equal...a month in jail perhaps...no of course not death is the only thing those camel fuckers know and insane punishments passed out by a government whose culture hasnt evolved in 3000 years is standard. Cartoon drawing= death, adultery= stoning, infidel=death, breathing wrong=death, yea beautiful sane countries.
