my favorite cut in terms of just pure flavor is ribeye, but the problem is I always end up throwing away half the meat cause I hate the taste of fat on steaks... but the actual ribeye meat is just phenomenal
so with that being said, my favorite all around steak is the porterhouse. It's delicious and much more reasonable in price than filet mignon (I can get excellent porterhouse steaks at my grocery store for 10 bucks a pound)
Even thought Porterhouse is my favorite, I wanted some ribeye today and I was able to find a cut of it without TOO Much fat. So I made it (a 2 LB ribeye today with baked potato) and it was absolutely delicious. It medium rare too...perfect
