    Climate Change

The North Atlantic has never been this hot this early, with a massive marine heatwave dominating millions of square miles of ocean.

In recent days the North Atlantic sea surface temperature anomaly has reached nearly 1°C above normal, the highest in recorded history.

While this dataset only goes back to 1982, recent studies indicate that Earth's current sea surface temperatures are likely the highest in over 100,000 years.

Looking forward to Dr "Hyperbole" Pickle weighing in on this
But as we all know he's far too much of a coward

To make matters worse, at least in the US, more people are also moving to hurricane prone areas like Florida. We are likely to blow past the 1.5c average warming by 2028...

Global warming will likely cross dangerous 1.5 C threshold within 5 years, UN report warns

    yeah, LOL Washington Policy Centre

1970s ice age predictions were predominantly media based. The majority of peer reviewed research at the time predicted warming due to increasing CO2.

    In the 1970s, climate
scientists were investigating the effects of rising industrial emissions on Earth’s climate.

    https://skepticalscience.com/ice-age...termediate.htm

Despite the majority of studies projecting warming, one common myth today misrepresents climate science in the 1970s by saying that the general understanding was of an imminent ice age. The small fraction of studies predicting cooling received a lot of media attention in the 1970s. The idea of a forthcoming ice age made for great headlines. The effect of this disproportionate media coverage persists today, as some people and organizations continue to perpetuate the idea that an ice age was predicted in the 1970s.

yeah well, back then not a peep about ''global warming,'' which was probably coined by Al Gore and it came with a prediction of all glaciers melting in 12 years, yes I'm writing this floating.

today the fake scientists are rewriting history, which they are well paid to do.

It's called climate change .. that includes colder spells as well as warmer spells.

Have you bothered to research any of the literature on the subject?

If climate change is fake, why do some of the most capitalistic organizations on the planet now recognize it as an existential threat.

    https://www.blackrock.com/us/individ...mate-awareness
The popular notion that tackling climate change comes at a net cost to the global economy is wrong, we believe. Avoiding climate-related damages will help prevent economic deterioration and improve risk-asset returns, in our view. We see the “green” transition to a carbon-neutral world rewarding companies, sectors and countries that adjust and penalizing others.

Epic day ! Over 40C in SIBERIA, dozens of records obliterated
Over 45C in China and 43C in Kazakhstan north of 45 latitude.
A historic heat wave which is rewriting world climatic history which is set to get much worse.

Here's a sample size you can not ignore.

Every 40,000 years (give or take) the gravitational pull of the sun would make the Earth tilt slightly towards it.
Then every 100,000 years the Earth's orbit around the sun would turn from its regular circular pattern to more like an oval, moving Earth further from the sun.

I earned twelve credits in college in Earth Science, I learned a thing or two about a thing or two along the way.

Well perhaps you could employ that "thing or two" you learned to show us any evidence of where in the scientific record of the Earth's temperature it has ever before increased as fast as it has over the past 50 years.

I'm not a denier, there are things we can do to make that atmosphere cleaner, to slow things down some.

The point I'm trying to make is weather is cyclical.

I have the solution but I'm not volunteering to help.
There are too many people. People need energy and 95% of what we use to produce energy creates pollution.
Decreasing the population would help, and I'm not lining up to help that solution.
Stopping the growth of the pop. is what is needed.
