Any STP/Velvet Revolver fans out there? Read a Fabulous book by Mary Weiland

I got this and finished it in 3 days, which for me is impressive. Couldn't stop reading the book as i've been a fan of Stone Temple Pilots and Scott Weiland since i first heard Sex Type Thing back in 1992. Great book, AMAZING he and/or Mary didn't die with the amount of drugs they did. Any fans of STP/VR will love this book, lots of rock n roll and inside stories you don't hear that often.

mmike, good stuff. turns out his latest solo album was all about her, mostly negative stuff, when i read the book, then checked out the lyrics on "happy in galoshes" i was pretty surprised. Anyway, her story was just as interesting as his is.

Yes. Velvet Revolver rules. At least they try to keep rock going. I liked their albums a lot.

I kind of know Scott's story. he rules.

Good recommendation, Brock. Might read that. Only negative is that I don't like to glorify dickheads who create their own problems w/ substance.

STP seems like the prototype rock group. The brothers seem like normal guys who are solid musicians. The music sounds good-to-great, depending on your taste. And of course Weiland is the prototypical frontman. Eats up the success and seems to drift into another world of excess. Still, STP albums sound awesome. Great rock band.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Looks good I will give it a read. Some excellent rock biographies I have read are: The Dirt by Neil Strauss (Motley Crue) and Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis (Chili Peppers).
