Thinking about Americana, one can’t help but think of the famed comic strip turned animation, “Peanuts.” Charles Schultz, the strips creator, didn’t forget African Americans, and included Franklin with the rest of the gang. Sure he was a token, but he was still awesome. I wish the same could be said for those annoying token lesbians, Peppermint Patty and Marcie!
also;Where would we be without “hey hey hey?” “Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids” was a show created by comedian Bill Cosby about the absolutely loveable and overweight hero, Fat Albert. The show was geared toward black working-class families, but managed to find popularity across racial lines, mainly because everyone likes to laugh at fat people.
but im having trouble thinking of that group of trouble making little african amerian kids that are on the tip of my tongue, if someone could help me out it would be appreciatd, thanks!
