^Talking Heads were underrated as a band in my opinion!

Just my opinion, women on the 90's and 2000's had much better talent than the women of the 80's.

Tina Weymouth was not just good, but a great bassist, still is.

Well one thing for sure, she's not out of place with all those brothers on the stage. That says a lot.

You like Sick Puppies? They had a good female bass player.

I'm a sucker for a bass riff, which is why I say it's my favorite.

A lot of my all-time favorite Stones tunes have lost some of the glitter due to overexposure, like "Gimme Shelter" for instance.

I personally think Led Zep is the greatest rock and roll band ever, but I can't even listen to "Stairway" anymore, and it's getting to the point where great Zep tunes like "Immigrant Song" is getting played out.

My opinion is Zep is the greatest ever, Queen is my all-time favorite with my absolute still touring 20 years after dropping "Hot Fuss" Killers.

The Killers may not be every one's cup of tea, and I get that, everyone can't love everything at the same time, that would make life really dull, but the casual listener doesn't realize how groundbreaking Hot Fuss was in 2004, and they sure as hell don't realize how incredibly difficult it is for a band to sustain excellence for 20 years, no less 50 like the Stones.

You want to hear some incredible bass, and I mean incredible.
Give this a listen, fast forward to 2:52.
*Not for nothing* I always liked Concrete Blond as well

Yea I hear you. The radio over plays everything. Stairway to Heven was overplayed when I was a teenager. Best part of Gimmie Shelter is the black girl screaming Rape Murder. Still a lot of Stones not played on the radio.

You will never hear this on radio. LOL

I know that bass line from somewhere just can't place it.

Here you go if you like a good bass line. Tom Bolins: Post Toastee, he played with the James Gang and Deep Purple. Guy produced a lot of music for dying at 27 years old.

The bass line opens the song.

more fitting today than when Leonard Cohen wrote it.

Everybody knows the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows that the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight is fixed
The poor stay poor and the rich get rich
    That's how it goes

Everybody knows the boat is sinking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
    Everybody's got this broken feeling
Like their mama or their dog just died
Everybody's hands are in their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
    And a long stem rose
    Everybody knows

    Everybody knows
    Everybody knows
    That's how it goes
    Everybody knows

    Everybody knows
    Everybody knows
    That's the way it goes
    Everybody knows

Everybody knows that it's now or never
Everybody knows that it's me or you
Everybody knows that you live forever
When you had a line or two
Everybody knows the deal is rotten
Old black Joe still pickin' cotton
    For your ribbons and bows

Everybody knows you love me baby
Everybody knows that you really do
Everybody knows that you've been faithful
Give or take a night or two
    Everybody knows you've been discreet
So many people you had to meet
    Without your clothes
    And everybody knows

    Everybody knows
    Everybody knows
    That's the way it goes
    Everybody knows

    Everybody knows
    Everybody knows
    That's how it goes
    And everybody knows

    Everybody knows
    Everybody knows
    That's how it goes
    And everybody knows

In case nobody posted this one yet. Iyah May - Karmageddon - from Australia - (Optional is she HOT OR NOT?)

She declined to drop the word "genocide" in her song and her "label" dropped her fast. Good for her to stand on her own on this.

I seen her in concert in Vancouver when she toured her Jagged Little Pill album over 25 years ago. She was fantastic back then. Raunchy and crazy.
