Well I'm not the biggest Steely Dan fan, but I love a good music trivia. I pulled up the lyrics to try and figure it out without looking up the meaning.

My first guess would be some type of criminals or mobsters. Can I get clue, but don't give me the answer.

You're from Jersey, right? So it could be an east coast thing.

Nice to see you post some Motown.

I was raised on this stuff. My mother always had it playing.

You're not wrong about that. But you're not totally right either.

The funniest joke of the Academy Awards was when Mick Jagger (presenting the award for best song) said "The Academy originally asked Bob Dylan to present this award, but Bob said let Mick do it, he's younger"

We lost another great one yesterday

David Johansen (and his alter ego Buster Poindexter)
Fronted one of the greatest punk rock bands of all time, the New York Dolls.

IMO The Dolls belong in the same sentence with Ramones, Sex Pistols. Clash, and The Stooges.
I don't like to throw the word great around all that much, but he was an all time great.

Pornos for Pyros. Great band (albeit short-lived).

Believe they broke up b/c the bassist had addiction problems and later serious health problems. They sound SO good:

Back in the 80's I was security for concerts for the Santa Barbara bowl for the Furs. Solid band with Pretty in Pink and this song. Dude looked drugged out and wasted I can't lie. Heart beat song was decent...

Real music lovers this song is Robert Plants best creation so he says and his personal favorite. It has variation and riffs, stops and starts. It's a creative tune from Led Zepplin. Just sharing for music lovers.. Check it and turn up the volume base!
