Every “I voted for this!” creep voted for... the red one

I love how you don't mention that Q1 2025 started with President Biden. Go look up Q1 2022. Our economy shrank by 1%.

Also, I was thinking about if illegals that have been in the US for a certain amount of years (let's say 15) that are still undocumented for whatever reason, but have no criminal records, allow them to stay but with the condition that they can never vote? A one-time only deal. Only those that immigrated legally can vote as usual. This way, no political party wins. They pass a bipartisan bill. What do you think?
I don't think I understand enough about all the implications of illegal immigration over a land border like Mexico to really know the best solution. But it does seem like a no brainer to take advantage of the ones that are coming in to genuinely work by documenting them and giving them some sort of easy to get v isa.

As a humanitarian I would vote for a program that gave long term illegal residents a path to security of tenure in the country. Don't think that needs to include citizenship or voting rights. But once qualified to stay I do think a path to citizenship the same as any other legal applicant would be smart and fair. Leaving people kind of "stateless" won't encourage them to assimilate or be patriotic or care as much about obeying the law etc.

Seems like there must be some way for America to get value from all these keen cheap workers. I have wondered if some sort of economic zone spanning the border where companies get advantages of cheap abundant human labor to setup there whilst still keeping tax and revenue in USA hands.

Trump just has no idea how much damage he's doing to the country.
    such as?

You are delusional. A panic merchant.

OMG the stock market is crashing. Tariffs are gonna destroy the country. Inflation is going to go through the roof. Trump is taking a booming economy given to him by Biden and destroying it.

Everything you say turns out to be the exact opposite of what ends up actually happening. It's just a matter of when.

    You're a slave to stupidity.

So now we know why Trump left the G7 early—and why he lied about it. We were specifically told that he left early to talk to members of his intelligence community; now we know he refused to talk to those folks, and spent hours negotiating with foreigners he has financial ties to.

Agents of Trump business and political partners MBS, MBZ and el-Sisi were secretly in the White House as Trump agreed to go to war with their enemy Iran? How is this not the big news right now? How is this not bigger than every other story media is covering?

This is beyond journalistic malpractice. We're talking about matters of war and peace—historic lies told by a POTUS to push America to war—and CNN is burying the lede that the attack was a byproduct of secret negotiations with those who support Trump financially and politically?

And should it not also be noted that the man representing Trump in these hours of secret negotiations inside the White House—assuming Trump wasn't there himself, which I suspect he was for part of the time—is a man (Witkoff) with financial ties to parties he was negotiating with?

This man was born on a US base in Germany to an American father in the army and the US says he is not an American citizen. The US has made this man stateless.
No passport, no citizenship papers for anywhere, no rights as a citizen anywhere.

Well I sure would not vote for that either. If that is a fair explanation of his polices. But I'd argue that if the voters of that area want that and vote for it, then bad luck for us and we should show a modicum of respect for that electoral choice. Same as I think all people should give Trump a modicum of extra respect as the peoples chosen leader.

We can argue both are right or wrong whilst maintaining some respect for democracy and it's elected leaders.
Of course it looked like one, that isn't the point JFC! That doesn't mean it is one. How many other ways can you express my heart goes out to you to a crowd? Maybe you are smarter than me, but I can only think of one and just because some fukking murderous Nazi last century used a similar hand signal, doesn't mean its the same thing!! Does it? Of course it doesn't.

Did you forget I already apologized for calling you mentally ill for you saying Elon definitely did the Nazi salute. I meant to say you sound like you have some sort of mental disorder with Elon's salute. Like TDS. Maybe you forgot.

But I do think it is funny you are so vehement that anyone who thought "What did I just see Elon do??" must be anti Elon/Trump or a hater and must be a democrat. Personally I think the vast majority of people on all sides of politics think the same way. They may not care that he did it, like me, but even MAGA people can understand what their eyes saw in the moment. I think the fact even JT hasn't jumped in at any point of our back n forth to back you up should be a clue that I am probably correct. Anyway, it's just a fun way to prod you now. I know you won't be changing your opinion now, same as I wont. ;-)

    2) I 100% agree the nominees both appear to be shockers. My guess is that the people there thought a muslin socialist was preferable to a proven poor leader and disgraced guy. Not some rush to want to support Islam or socialism. I do think the number of further left then average politicians being elected world wide is part of the push back I mentioned though.

    3) I don't see a direct equivalence between a sex offender and Muslim politician, but I guess you are right that it's fine for you to voice your anti opinion if you believe it is bad for you. Is it really bad for you that a group of people in one section of the country choose who they want though? You appear to me to more interested in trying to suppressing the freedom of others to think as they choose, anywhere in the world, whether it actually affects you or not.
Elon Musk came out and publicly said he was saying my heart goes out to you. Shouldn't you believe him? Millions of people have used that expression. Not all like like Elon did but not all all the richest man in the world with autism. I can't believe this even needs to be explained. It's not a Nazi salute. Hitler loved dogs and drank water. Not every dog lover who drinks water is a Nazi. If you said something that was taken the wrong way, and you clarified what you meant, then I would move on. It's not as if Elon has a history of antisemitism or racist Nazi language over many years. FFS, he was a democrats until a few months before the election.

If you have a politician promising to create government grocery stores, replace cops with social workers, fight the feds when they come to remove illegal criminals, raise taxes and a few other insane things, then its your duty (or it should be) to tell people what they are getting into. Otherwise, NY will turn into another San Fransisco. That is the point I was making in 3).
