They are trying some shady shit here in Tennessee too. In January I get a letter from the election board saying that I can't vote because of my unverifiable address. I've lived in the same voting district since 2000. I bought the house I still live in, back in 2004. Makes me wonder why for 20 years there was nothing wrong with my address now they can't verify it.

1) All of last year, I was fighting with the county and state about my property value. In February of last year, I get a new property assessment, in the mail, with my new assessment being almost 50% higher than my last one. I finally got them down to about 20%. Thats about what the values have increased here in the last 4 years.
So, verifying my address should not have been a problem, if they had called the assessor's office, I'm on a first name bases with all that work in that office now.

2) I had never sent letters to my elected state and federal office holders before, last year I sent more than a few, to all of them.

I don't know if I pissed off the wrong person, or if this is something even more shady, but they want low voter turnout for sure.

The Pentagon lied to trump about the number of US soldiers that were left in Syria. Sec of Defense Lloyd Austin went behind his back to China telling that he'd give them a heads up if measures were being drawn up against them in the last months of his presidency. The FBI's non-action is the least bit surprising. Look how they've "sat on" the Epstein files and only prosecuted one trafficker and zero johns. There's some big names being protected. And according to biden, presidents don't meddle in the affairs of the FBI and the other agencies.

I understand, what you are saying. What kills me is some people I've been friends with my whole life and are reasonable smart people when it comes to anything but politics. I'm willing to listen to their side of whatever issue they want to talk about. But it crushes them when it's something where they are being lied to or mislead and someone shows it to them. You can pick any talking point of the GOP and it is either misleading or straight out lie. Best example the last couple of years, is anything Jim Jordan has said.
