            "Basic Info

30 Year Mortgage Rate is at 6.96%, compared to 6.81% last week and 5.30% last year. This is lower than the long term average of 7.74%."

I just took out one at 5.94% down here. For comparison.

Rates feel extra high as borrowers have been used to ultra low rates recently, and many down here are coming to the end of fixed rate honeymoon deals and jumping from 2.5%ish up to that. But still historically below average really.

Christie is a fat slob. I'd never vote for that Trump hating whale. He has nothing going for him other then hating Trump like all the Democrats do. Sad existence for all with TDS!

Don't worry about inflation, it will ebb and flow. Remember each month it's based on the previous year, so
I don't know exactly what the rate was last year at this time but I seem to remember it was pretty high. In reality inflation will spike for the next decade and you'll look back at when $15 minimum wage was a decent thing and think about how Burgers at BK are now $10

The way things are looking around the globe.... I guess 5.94% you'd live with.... and hopefully there's nothing additional on the back end of your mortgage.

If the USA was ran properly... the rate would be 3.99% and lower with an excellent credit score. Biden is accountable... because the increase happened under his watch. Allowing banks to rob us... is ridiculous. They are already making a killing at 4%.

Mortgage rates trail and then follow inflation. By this time next year the 30 year will be under 5% again, similar to late 2018.

My first mortgage was 7.25% in 2001. And that was quaint compared to what folks paid in the 70's and 80's. We're all spoiled by, and addicted to, super low borrowing rates.

Interest rates are out of control to try and combat inflation. No one can buy a house these days because of that. Oh and if you had an adjustable rate mortgage you are about to give your home back to the bank.

Thank you Joe Biden and your spending plans for the green new deal hoax. Stop printing money!

This is Classic narcissistic behavior. Inflation was under 2% when Biden took over

First, they claim they knew it would cause inflation:

Then they call it Putin's price hike when it was already over 7%. Then they blame Trump.

The Fed should get credit for cutting inflation, as they were willing to make the tough decision and raise interest rates despite democrat pressure not to do it. This just shows how mentally ill the left is, they demand the Fed not raise rates, the Fed does anyway, then the left takes credit for falling inflation caused by the Fed hiking rates.

Back to name calling huh little kid?
You calling someone a narcissist isn't evidence. I know you claim to have various financial certifications, so use them to understand what the inflation reduction act did to lower inflation. You should also know that Trump's policies had devastating effects long after he left, emboldening Putin, including his idiot trade war and terrible covid response, which had documented proven direct impacts on inflation, even today. That doesn't get reversed in one administration.

I know you claim to have various financial certifications, so use them to understand what the inflation reduction act did to lower inflation. Well when it comes to inflation, we are still dealing with Bush, Obama, and the Trumpenator's cumulative policies that off shored the inflation to lower cost countries. This hid the inflation for a while, but now we can't do that anymore. It just finally came to the light of day under Biden. Unfortunate for him but this is what being President is about. The next hammer to fall is the belief that the military is strong. Over the next few months Americans will discover that all of these new fancy weapons systems are unsustainable under combat situations because the replenishment rate is not quick enough when facing a foe that is more powerful than a couple of goat herders with no military.

The only time it was under 2% was during the pandemic, please show the unemployment rate for the same dates you show inflation for.
You have to take the bad with the good.

There's a lot of credible evidence that taking credit for good and refusing any blame for the bad is narcissistic behavior, much more than there is that the inflation reduction act caused a drop in inflation. Your whole argument is nothing but correlation = causation. Jim Clybunre admitted that the democrats knew their spending in March 2021 would cause inflation, and they did it anyway. Now we're going to have to deal with the inflation and recession and your evil party will get hammered for it.

Biden went to war with the oil companies before he was elected, and on the day he took over, gas began to rise and continued until it got out of control and the cost of everything went through the roof. It's funny how all of these people seem to forget that even though it was only a couple years ago.

It's funny how all of these people seem to forget that even though it was only a couple years ago.

Some of the drop in inflation we've seen is due to that, but we'll have to refill the SPR at some point, so inflation will come back.
