But I remember when everybody was saying this about Trump many years ago. That it was always a stunt and he'd never legitimately try to be president. So who knows

I do think we're entering a new era where celebs being major candidates for presidency will start to become more common. People are sick of politicians. IMO Biden was a bit an outlier as a direct response to people hating Trump, and it hasn't worked out particularly well.
