The father, of course, came to his defense saying that he his son would never do anything like this. The thing is that the kid has been trained by his dad to shoot guns and should know better than to send a text even coming close to just teasing a mass shooting. You just don't know anymore. The sheriff is right. If they had not taken this as a threat, and something happened, the shit would have hit the fan.
