#3Weather was eerily similar to a couple years ago when we got the tornado in Nashville. Luckily the worst of it went north of us.Comment -

It looks a lot larger than what was reported. Ef3 damage typically does not look like what those pictures showed. Fukk that's scary.Comment -

#15I’m guessing they figured the building was safer than their house or trailer . Really no point for them to go home. Hindsight 20-20 but I’ve lived it and if I’m out in a large building I’m not going to see the point of going back to my apartment. It’s not like it’s safer and it’s not like they knew for a fact that tornado was going to go down that street.Comment -

But doesn't look like much around there . Shame poor people working at night to get by. RIPComment -

#18They reported violent tornadoes which they said range from ef3 to ef5, in their words. 220 mph winds were also reported along with over a mile wide twister.
What we see in this video looks like an ef5 imo. At least ef4 to be modest. An absolute monster.Comment -

#19I'm not saying this is what is was........but the military has been playing with the weather for decades and a lot of it is de-classified. Geo-engineering, weather modification, etc.

#24Go outdoors? In the middle of nowhere with trees and branches possibly coming down and blocking roadways during bad thunderstorms ? Honestly a tornado is just a crapshoot and you just hope to not be one of the unfortunate ones. Once a tornado warning comes in the last thing you want to do is be traveling somewhere. The weather is probably already bad outside.Comment -

#25Ok...so, honestly, the Tornado warning gives you a few minutes unless it just drops onto you.
Why not leave the lot in your car and drive the other direction?
This is on the warehouse supervisors.
At the beer wholesaler we had a tornado safe area for 40 employees, but if I had a 3 minute heads up....

Also, you have to factor in the risk of additional tornadoes spawning on the outer edges of the super cell in which you could be driving towards.Comment -

#29Larry Virden, 46, was one of the six employees who died Friday night, after a tornado ripped through an Amazon warehouse in Edwardsville, Illinois where he worked. Larry’s girlfriend shared their final texts together.Comment -

#31Unless you see exactly where the tornado is then that is a risk almost nobody will take. Your car will be enveloped in wind, rain and large hail while you hope you are driving away from it instead of towards it. The precipitation covers a very wide area outside of the actual funnel, which is why it's hard to track it as a chaser without radar inside your car, let alone as a citizen trying to flee to safety outside of town.

Rumor has it that Bezos and his goons threatened for them to lose their jobs if they left that warehouse. Sure, seems like a swell guy. Meanwhile, he was sending up his astronauts into the Ionosphere since they can't go into literal space anyway without Archangels permission.
Stay there through that tornado and potentially die, or you lose your job ~ Jeff Bezos

#34Yeah it’s not like these tornadoes are touching down in Kansas in the daylight and we have a perfectly straight road to drive away on. When I had a tornado touch down less a half mile of me in Nashville I had no f in clue where it was. I couldn’t even differentiate between lightning, electrical lines exploding, or the tornado warning lights. I didn’t even know it touched down that close until the next day.Comment -

#35Crazy situation. Seems like Amazon was trying to protect their workers? Instead of sending them out??? Touchy situation. I wouldn't know the exact velocity of the wind 1-10 or the overall weather for that matter... What do you do??? Send your workers home?? Or protect them in the warehouse?? Final Destination sh#$ right there.Comment
