Imagine what people who fought for real freedoms would think about this governor thinking masks is a huge restriction of a persons freedom. They would think he is a complete idiot. The thing with Desantis that annoys me is that he’s so transparent. Every move he makes is to appeal to a certain base in efforts to run for president.
If this guy strictly was just being the governor fine I could probably look past it but it’s just “look at me” tactics which makes him not seem genuine. Plus masks is not something we should be shouting to the clouds about freedoms restricted.Comment -
I doubt those who fought in the war would think that. I am assuming fighting in a war is what you meant by real freedoms. Comparing that to wearing masks is silly which he wasn't doing to begin with. There is no science showing these mask work for an air born virus. Its like putting up a chain link fence thinking it will keep out mosquitoes. Six foot safe ... five foot danger LOL!

Whether they work or don’t work it’s such an insignificant thing to divide people on and that’s what his comments are, just a way to get his base all riled up. And I just get annoyed when he talks about this battle for freedom and then it’s just whether someone has to wear a mask or not.

Why are they so eager to have everyone wear masks again? Because nothing evokes fear better than visual symbols. We are visual creatures. We always have been. That is why the Left always uses race and skin color as a weapon. You know they do. Its easy to see. Easy to identify. The facemask is a symbol of the power of government.
