Based on just the first 10 minutes of this congressional hearing from last December, it would appear that the bureaucracy likely has killed more people than COVID. The bureaucracy is out to protect the profits of big pharma. And now, on top of all the profit they've already raked in, get ready for the boosters. I guarantee they are coming:

I still don't know anyone in my family or large circle of friends including me that died from Covid and that didn't get the vax shot prior to.
I still think Covid is extremely overrated and over hyped. More then 99% of people that test positive for Covid still don't die from it to this day that didn't get the jab. Most don't get hospitalized either if healthy.Comment -

Not vaccinated and not anti-vax either. Don't plan on getting vaccinated but I won't say never. I do have Ivermectin pills in my medicine cabinet (which I have never taken) just in case and other than aspirin, Alka-Seltzer, Charcoal capsules and hydrogen peroxide, that is all I have in my medicine cabinet . Are you serious? If I am paying you $30 million a year to dribble a basketball and if you test positive for Covid the week before the NBA Finals, I'm taking that money out of your ass. I would probably break Irving's kneecaps if he worked for me. It's only a matter of time that one of these athletes are going to get sued for infecting someone. At that point, the shit will get real. This makes sense to me BUT the experts all say that the tests do not guarantee that someone is not carrying the infection, so they are not going to budge on their stance. They are going to make it as difficult as possible on the unvaccinated. They can't go to restaurants on the road, can't eat with the team, can't have roommates, and are tested every day. The players association should have just required it instead of making it an issue. These guys will cave any day now.
- Antibody tests should generally not be used to diagnose a current infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. An antibody test may not show if you have a current infection because it can take 1 to 3 weeks after the infection for your body to make antibodies.

The article is more about the training staff having to be vaccinated and they aren't happy that 40 NBA players are not vaccinated yet. Those guys might give it to them and then they take it home. Now let's say everyone was vaccinated 100% then even if they gave it they believe that chances are not much will happen.
If you actually read that article the amount of people that have died with vaccine is definitely a significant number. Now of course they do say it's 98% or whatever to survive depending on the vaccine you took.Comment -

Kermit, I was around a friend for several hours a couple of weeks ago that had Covid. I tested negative once again. Sorry but my shot has not worn off and I posted an article that did the actual research and it showed where the vaccines DID NOT WEAR off like you are hoping. Sorry to disappoint you. That had to be well over a month ago prior to Delta. Everyone thought we were done with masks and covid was a distant memory. The numbers went down drastically after the vaccines. But people got complacent, stopped wearing masks and socially distanced and the unvaccinated suffered as a result. Delta scared a shitload of unvaccinated people to get the shot. I have several friends who said they would never get the shot, line up with a quickness to get it after a bunch of people we all know died. We are close to 65% vaccinated and about 13-20% who already had Covid, so any day now, we should be close to herd immunity. The numbers are dropping once again in Houston. Once the numbers go down, we won't need to wear masks anymore.
I don't know why you contrarians are trying to dispute the facts. It's like you guys want Covid to stay forever??? I still don't understand why ANYONE would discourage anyone to not get the vaccine?? It is the quickest way to get back to normal, even if you don't believe in it it is plain dumb to put the vaccines down. It makes no sense.

Who? where are you seeing vaxxed people getting sick? Sure you may see some breakthroughs but very few people are being hospitalized and very few are dying. VERY FEW. The vaccines are working. Why do you keep trying to dispute something that is not disputable??? The great majority of people being hospitalized and dying are unvaxxed.
You got Covid and recovered like most people. Great. But tell that to the hundreds of thousands of people who did not recover. Maybe you, like me were just lucky. Who knows who will be next? Just because you have the antibodies, just like I have the vax doesn't guarantee nothing. There's still a chance for a bad outcome from this virus. and Biden is no way an expert on this. Neither are the experts. They are all doing research and using what they've got. I trust what I see in locally before anything I hear nationally. I'm around a lot of people. I saw several breakthroughs before it was on the news. I reported it in these forums. We started wearing masks again WAY before the CDC recommended it. I wrote in the stock thread that we were not seeing as many breakthroughs with Moderna and that you should load up on MRNA stock. It went up damn near 70% since I posted. I got Moderna because the company has been working on vaccines for over a decade. They already have done the research and it works. I've been around dozens of people with Covid and have never gotten it.

A union organized a protest a couple of weeks back and handed those hi-viz vests out to everyone with CFMEU on the back, to make them all look like union members when they weren't. Apparently they pissed of the cops with it who targeted anyone in one later. So people started wearing them to taunt cops more.
