How do you drink Tequila and a good brand?

Some people drink straight shots. The custom is to place salt on the web of your hand between the thumb and pointer finger. Then hold the shot glass between your thumb and pointer finger and lick the salt before downing the shot of Tequila.

Any "Gold" Tequila is considered smoother and will do. You don't have to break the bank.

Blanco too - I usually mix on ice with some flavored sparkling water (or a Truly or White Claw) & squeeze a 1/2 a lime into it. Summer in a glass. Jose Cuervo "Gold" or "Blanco", you can usually get a 750ml anywhere for like $15. Done & Done.....

If anybody is a Margarita fan, Jose Cuervo makes a "ready to drink" blend with the Tequila, lime mixer, and... GRAND MARNIER all set to go. Just chill and serve over ice. Or put in a blender for frozen Margarita. The Grand Marnier is truly the "icing on the cake" of a lime Margarita IMHO.

Grand Marnier is so pricey you could use either Cointreau or Triple Sec as a replacement or in addition to the above recipe.

I do chilled vodka shots or sip a Bourbon, whisky (whiskey) or scotch like a civilized man. Even a smooth rum on ice better than vodka.
