Just got my second dose last night (Moderna)

I’ve been warned how bad the next day is...

Woke up today with just a sore arm where they injected me

By lunch time, started having the chills

Now I have fever, chills, and body aches

Hopefully will be better tomorrow for Final 4 Day!

Has anyone experienced similar side effects? How long did they last?

I figured I’d get better advice on here than webmd

I had a sore arm on the second and didn't feel 100% but it wasn't bad. My wife just got her second on Monday and she was down for the count all Tuesday. Wednesday was at 85% and fine yesterday. Both were Moderna.

Me and the wife both got the vaccine last night. She woke up feeling like shIt. I basically told her to stop being such a puzzy (jokingly). Now I feel like shIt but I’m hiding it from the wife. Don’t want to hear any BS from her....

Got the second shot of Moderna last Saturday am. Has trouble sleeping that night and then the symptoms you are talking about all day Sunday. But, about 6 pm started feeling like nothing happened. Low grade fever, aches and pains, headache.

I guess you worry at first you have Covid.

Took some Tylenol a little bit ago. Helped slightly. Still feeling same side effects though. Hopefully I’ll be back tomorrow.

just hit Tylenol and then advil if you need to dose before the 6 hours.

No personal experience. A friend was OK with the first Moderna shot but the second shot left her puking the next day will chills. The second day after that second shot was much better. The third day after that second shot she was back on her feet.

I had to cancel Wildwood. Sister in law backed out and ruined it for everyone, so I requested a refund. I’m taking the boys to Vegas instead June15-20.

I’ll be down to AC at some point for sure! We’ll play some golf down there too.

From what I’m hearing, Phizer not as bad with side effects after 2nd shot. Glad to hear you got through it healthy!

I had the 2nd shot Wed morning.. Only my arm was sore, but I wanted to be proactive so polished off a bottle Crown Royal. Felt like hell yesterday..But 100% fine today, except that i turned to alcohol ....not good.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with using alcohol in moderation. And that's the key... Moderation. I'll debate that subject with anybody. In fact certain alcohol beverages in moderation can help your body. All wines for example contain sulfites as a natural occurring process. Red wine sulfites in particular have been researched to actually reduce cholesterol and even prevent artery blockage. So, drink away in MODERATION.

Got the 2nd maderna last month. Small headache not being able to control with aspirin and a sore arm. 1st shot no problem. Getting a little sick means it's working. Had a family get together last week after not seeing anyone for months.

UPDATE: Feeling much better today after a rough night. I went to bed at 9pm but didn’t fall asleep until almost 2am. With the body aches, it felt like I was sleeping on cement.

Woke up this morning and was sluggish. But after a hot shower, I feel 95% better now. Small headache but I think that’s from the rough night of tossing and turning.

Im ready to gamble today!!!

What I have read about the 2nd moderna shot is that it takes two full weeks in the body for it to be fully effective. But crazy as that may sound, I also read that after 1 shot you're 80% safe.

That’s what I’ve been hearing also. I’ve read it’s 90% 3 weeks after the first dose. Funny how you don’t feel a thing after the first dose but the second dose fukks you up for a day or two.

Don't worry they just came out with a new one what they do is whack you in the nuts with a rubber mallet and you thank them and can go post about your side effects. I hear it has a 100% cure rate 🙃

Arm is sore and I had some mild body reactions. Did cardio this morning to circulate my blood stream. Have to schedule an appointment for the second shot in 28 / 31 days. Moderna.

Second shot is much different than the first. I didn’t feel a thing after the first one other than sore arm at the injection site.
