Nah man, you'd have to chase it with something to make it worthwhile. Something my wife and her friends would drink...not even sure it falls into the beer category.

        With all due respect....

You're paying a premium for Corrs' version of a craft beer, a heffe at that, so why would anyone be concerned about the calorie count here?

Think about this....you're willing to pay a great restaraunt more $$$ for dinner than you would at McDonald's. But then you're going to "undo" all the things that make the taste better at the great restaraunt?

Never understood the consumers affliction with "light" craft beers, or light unfiltered beers.

Your Point is EXCELLANT! For me an alky, with other health issues, I look for taste and calories. I'm not heading back to the Liquor store for bourbon, so I can get a buzz with 6 beers ..Now with a 4.2 % alcohol ingredients, as opposed to the 5% plus of the BM that taste's better; I don't notice any difference in the hangover. My arms still break out with red marks.... I'm dying but don't want to miss something in this category that might beat the taste. Thanks Fats!

Blue Moon anything is for chicks, drink IPA's like a man. If you need an orange slice in your beer, that's problematic enough.....

The only light beers that taste like beer, to me, are Amstel light and Heineken light. I drink real beer anyway.

Agree on Amstel and 96 calories &4+% ABV represents solid taste profile and value in a session beer

Heineken Light uses cheap hops and it's a very low ABV. Lacks the sweet offset that traditional Heineken procures. Never been a fan of it, hoping they'll revise the recipe.

I wish Guinness would do a low calorie version of Harp Lager. I always liked the taste profile of Harp....feel it could be cut easily enough at the brewery for a 110 calorie drink.

Amstel and harp must be good... Local Walmart sold out of both. I just did my online order..Guinness it is.

I think I read that Heineken owns Amstel, but could be wrong. I used to like Hieny, but lost my taste for it.

Closed the brewpub for good. Go to 18th Street Brewing nearby.

They have an importation agreement. My family was a Heineken wholesaler from 1949-2006 and Heinekenwas imported by Van Munchen family (GREAT beer people), they brought in Amstel Light and Buckler to not bastardized the Heineken name, kept the short bottles and limited draft and cans to events/ outdoor. That bottle was a status symbol. (Heine may have bought Amstel since).

Heineken then bought out Van Munchen and formed Heineken USA and has destroyed the marketing and image of the brand since.shocked we dont have Heineken seltzer yet.

Light craft beers were invented for events like concerts and stadiums. Founders invented them to get into Tigers games. You really don't want to serve 6-7% IPA's on a sunny day with 30,000 people.

I'm back in love with beer again > Or is it lager...Guiness Draught Stout! Tastes so good! The only problem with the IPA alcohols (whatever category they fall in) is toooooo many different ones and finding that same one again is a challenge. Plus (silly), i hate the dumb designs . I've always like Guiness, but had been awhile.

Brewers lose money on every keg/ can sold at a stadium. That's a fact. There's a bidding process to get tap handles and service areas for can placement. There might be some truth to supplying a lessor quality product at a lower production cost to the venue, but why bastardize the flagship brand w XXX light? Why not just name is something different and say "from the brewer of" ? Makes zero sense

Stout is technically an ale as it's top fermented

The phrase light doesn't mean the same as Diet does in soda.

Light beer is still beer, and it's got maybe 15% less calories.

As such, take a look at your Guinness can or bottle, it has less calories than a Bud Light.

There's a bidding process to get tap handles and service areas for can placement. There might be some truth to supplying a lessor quality product at a lower production cost to the venue, but why bastardize the flagship brand w XXX light? Why not just name is something different and say "from the brewer of" ? Makes zero sense
Because Founders wants their name out there to grow. Session IPA's do nothing for me, but how else do they get into a venue? Founders making a pilsner isn't going to cut it, going up against Bud and Miller. Personally I'm not buying any of them unless its full alcohol.

Omar struggling. Fighting off a union move + closed the tap room. Rumors flying he may sell to Johnson Brothers Liquor Co
