Great Question. Simple answer: I do not even know if The Moon is something that we can land on.
Let's think rationally AND logically here, How will landing on the moon help us any of us AND Has it been helpful so far (supposedly after they "landed" on it) ?

I can think of several things off hand, from the Deep Space Network to the development of the ability to put satellites in orbit, you know the ones your phone and other communications rely on.

Don't forget the industry push for miniaturization that occurred as well, because of the need to for space exploration, that affects every aspect of your life today.

I could keep going, you want to know all the uses of satellites? Credit the race to the moon for the ability to even get the satellite up there. Yes, there were satellites before then, but never such large payloads until the moon rockets.

Did you know that earthquake proofing technology used all around the world today from buildings to bridges were based on tech used for launch?

How about silver zinc batteries in hearing aids? Guess who started that ball rolling.

Not just landing on the moon, but the tech developed to get there has spunoff and been further developed since. It's everywhere anymore.

When asked about the famous scene in which government scientists pump images of torture into the mind of its delinquent antihero, Alex, to rid him of violent thoughts, he dismissed it as an idea that came to him in a dream.

Now, a decade after Burgess's death, respected biographer Roger Lewis believes he may have uncovered the truth, thanks to a mysterious retired British intelligence agent.

According to the anonymous source, Burgess became involved with the CIA while working as a Colonial Service education officer in Malaya in the 1950s.
