The only way to get the news was the newspaper and ABC, NBC OR CBS when I grew up.

It was terrible to sweat out scores going on a trip.

we just canceled our daily paper. Gannett raised the price to $59/month. Wife liked to read it so we subscribed. Just called to cancel last Friday.

I'm old-school enough to still subscribe to the newspaper. I get our local paper called the Riverside Press Enterprise, and a little earlier this year started getting a weekly called The Epoch Times. For me it's still pleasurable to sit down on a quiet morning with a cup of coffee and the newspaper.

The average price for the NY Daily News and NY Post in two bucks. And that's for a daily.
I'm not that old but I remember like yesterday paying a quarter for the NY Post to read on the train.
Two bucks !!!!

Last home subscription I had was like 8 or 10 years ago of the NY Daily News and that was because they were practically giving it to me for nothing, I'd tip the delivery guy more a week than the price of the weekly subscription.

I don't have print anymore I do online only because it is too cold here in Upper Iowa during the winter.I get 3 online subs.I do the Rj from Las Vegas La Times and Locally the Des Moines Register with the Register I get Usa Today online for free.I love The RJ Sports page and Business section.
