It was a mistake but it was not cold blooded murder like the narrative of white cops looking to kill black males.

The officer was Hispanic, and the timing of Castile telling him he had a gun could not have been worse (as he is being asked for and reaching for his license) as far as the way it could get fuked up. No doubt it didn't have to happen, but the officer had no way of knowing right then if he could legally carry and he saw he was smoking a joint in a car with a 4 year old. How is he supposed to know he isn't another crazed thug like you see and more importantly the cops see in videos all the time?

Anyway, this happened over 5 years ago and it's the most egregious one. Hardly an epidemic.
