I used to be at that park years ago all the time. Lived 5 minutes away from it. They have a range there. And a cool beach on the lake. It's a nice area around there. Ironically, I was friends with a guy that owned the Chinese restaurant right on the water (same lake as park). Shocked to hear something like that would happen there. Very strange!

Total speculation, but my guess is gambling debt. Recently moved home to her parents to deal with "personal issues" according to one of her friends. Sounds like she went broke and had to move in with her parents, and someone she owed money to tracked her down.

The stalker/ex-lover theory would kind of fit, but she's not that great looking I'd be surprised if it was that.

i am going to guess she was in debt from gambling, drugs, loansharks, etc. that sounds like a message, esp moving back home with issues. horrible way to go and hopefully she was dead before she burned.
