I Experienced Racism First Hand Recently At A Restaurant
My family and i went to eat at The Cheescake Factory.

When standing in line to be seated, the hostess at the desk, a young African-American girl, asked us where our masks were and told us we had to have them on to be in there.

So no big deal we put them on.

However the family being seated right in front of us, which happened to be black, did not have masks on at all.

So I asked the girl why she didn't say anything to them and she says "I'm sorry I didn't see them". Which was a lie but I just let it go.

So after eating we decide to go to the mall for a while and then go back for dessert.

When we come back, this time we notice the sign on the door requiring masks, so we wear them in.

While waiting to be seated again, there is a young black couple in front of us.

The girl has a mask on, but the guy does not.

Yet again, this same hostess ignores it and lets them waltz right in to be seated.

Let's just say it was very obvious at this point she's being very selective who she enforces the rules with and playing favorites.

Let me also point out that im Caucasian, my wife is Hispanic, kids are mixed, and its easy to see that, so even Latinos aren't getting a break from this girl.

I did end up speaking to the manager, as well as having 2 servers (of different ethnicities) who backed up my story, and he thanked me and went straight over to her and took her elsewhere for a talk apparently.

Good job handling the situation with discretion.

Too many people rush to facebook start printing names and locations and cause all kinds of trouble.

The fact that she'd young might give her the chance to mature out of it a bit and maybe learn a lesson without being cancelled.

Kudos to you and yours for handling it the way you did.

Sounds very traumatic. Send corporate a letter.

Some blacks -- particularly those steeped in "I Want Reparations" mode -- actually
believe they themselves are incapable of racism. Coleman Young, the late mayor
of Detroit, was famous for making this ridiculous argument.

Fortunately only a few blacks have this attitude, and it sounds like the young woman's
                attitude got a quick re-adjustment!

Blacks are the most rascist people on earth. White people deserve reparations for the non-stop violence suffered from black people.
