We need another amendment to separate politics and sports!
Sports is a way to escape real life problems and have some fun.
Just watch athletes play to win a game and let us cheer.
Leave the ugly parts of our lives behind for a short while.
Is that a racist thing or just a dream?

Especially when you live in a country that spoils you with obscene amounts of money to partake in what amounts to a recreational game.

          great thread

Politics do not belong in sports eventually you will bankrupt it if you let it infiltrate

          People will not watch

              Already happening on my watch..
              Screw the NBA and MLB..
Tired of whiny little millionaires pretending that playing a game is so hard and that their respective leagues or teams won't move forward or be competitive without their Prima Donna voice or presence..
Plenty of kids chomping at the bit to replace them.
Play your little game or work for a living you little pukes..
Wish real life was like a professional sports league..

Wonder if this could all be traced back to one specific event where a leader of a nation started politicizing games??
              Hmmmmm...

Did you feel the same way when USA boycotted the Moscow Olympics? Or during the apartheid years when Sth Africa was boycotted by most of the world?

I agree politics & sport should not mix. Just interested if those instances feel different.

                  LOL

Olympians weren't paid millions of dollars a year back then

You can't cash all of your pay checks for millions of dollars from your "oppressors", rake in millions of dollars a year from companies who run sweatshops all over the world, and then be taken seriously when you whine about oppression

They market their overpriced sweatshop sneakers and apparel to people who can't afford them, so they will steal and kill people to get them, and then talk about the greed of others

                  That's the difference
It's scary that you can't see that outstanding level of hypocrisy
