Despite the postponement of other films due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tenet remained unchanged at Nolan's behest.[49] Some exhibitors saw its potential date as "a totem guiding the industry towards its reboot"

july 17th this movie is the only game in town

july 24th mulan should do unreal numbers too

these suckers are gonna have HUGE longevity worldwide... even if a theater runs at half capacity, what's the difference when at a 20-screen multiplex, there are 10 screens of tenet and 10 screens of mulan

BUT they cant fill theaters with wuhan still out there can they ? will that many people be ready in a month for something like this and even if everyone went it could be statistically impossible

No chance. You are drastically underestimating the amount of ppl that have zero interest in returning to a filthy movie theater so soon.

The only issue with the bet is that the number of available seats will be cut in half.

The idea for the movie is very interesting. Nolan does well telling these kinds of stories. I just watched Memento the other day.

The only issue with the bet is that the number of available seats will be cut in half.
I’m really not. I’ve heard it straight from top film executives and celebrities. The movie business as we know it has changed dramatically. They are working on bringing drive ins back and will be doing most premieres that way. Palm Springs is set to have one in the Hampton’s and palms springs in a few weeks. Funniest movie I’ve seen all year. Comes out early July. Keep your eyes open for it.

no way did a top film executive tell you that they will do more business from drive ins than in theaters

yes a drive in might work in palm springs, but how is it gonna work in milwaukee in december? half of the people going to the movies here don't even HAVE a car, and they sure as heck aren't gonna sit in it with the engine/heater running for hours and hours
