    Covid 19 Data - Daily Snapshot – 5/19/20
By popular demand, I’ve now included Russia, and re-added China to my weekly Covid 19 tracking list. Below is a snapshot of today’s numbers, and it can be seen easily enough, that both the countries need to retake Propaganda 101 – the first lesson of which is “Make your bullshit believable”, something neither nation is even close to. China’s reported infection numbers are absurdly low, as Covid 19 had been spreading beyond Wuhan at least since early December, long before the city was locked down on January 23rd, yet the number of infected has scarcely changed since the first outbreak occurred in Wuhan. Now that Shulan has also been suddenly locked down, one would think there was a good reason. Namely, that the Coronavirus has spread there in alarming numbers – but the state-run Chinese Media, which oversees what gets reported, is sure to continue to lie their asses off. Russian propaganda is even less credible. In fact, it’s downright stupid. I know it’s still a “workers’ paradise”, but so few people die of Covid 19 there, despite a large infections number, they should think about opening a Coronavirus health spa franchise. Odds are the true death numbers would approach that of the U.S. Pneumonia deaths in Russia have increased dramatically, but, strangely enough, and despite the large number of reported tests, few pneumonia patients get tested for Covid 19 – so, if not the symptomatic, who the hell is getting tested, and why don’t they die?

Anyway – I’m calling it bullshit, and although the idea of posting their crap gives me second thoughts, I’ve decided it might be worth it, especially as it may be that the U.S. is headed down propaganda road itself. With Brix, apparently, now in tacit command of the CDC, and given her public castigation of their “unnecessarily scary” reporting of infections and deaths, we can expect far more “optimistic” numbers coming from the CDC, via the White House. Already the Johns Hopkins University Covid 19 dashboard ignores the CDC’s numbers, as being slow and incomplete, and has opted for more “reliable” sources. America looks poised to join with China and Russia to paint a rosier pandemic picture.

Anyway, today, the world got sicker faster, though people died a bit more slowly. The same was true of the U.S., although rate of recovery has shown a steady rise. Brazil still tops the infection rate chart, though they’re dying a tad slower. The UK saw a jump in infections, while Spain saw a significant drop in its death rate.
