More power to ya, I would rather sleep in the auto.

Because I’m telling you if you’re in the hospital bed, you aren’t sleeping. The call rooms are right by the nurses stations, you can hear them talking, walking, shutting doors etc... Add in all the over head pages for Dr so and so, or code blues, or whatever other code may be going on, you might sleep an hour at most. Been there done that too many times.

If you need me, I’ll be actually sleeping outside in whatever vehicle I choose

Going to grad school I was working as a bartender in a lounge in a hotel.
I became friends with the desk clerk and arranged to use an empty room nightly
in exchange for pharma.
5th month in I passed-out and the maid caught me with an oriental fox and brought
the owner in to see the scene.

I take too much call. Sometimes 4-5 nights in a row. I dont mind roughing it a night or two but fukk, Im 40 years old and dont wanna be sleeping in a tent in a park 5 nights in a row

How much do they pay to carry the pager? 30 mins from the hospital seems unreasonable.. Is it a Level 1 hospital? If it’s not what’s the big deal about being there in hour or 2? If it level 1 they should have it staffed accordingly.. I’m 🤷*♀️
