Grilling The Perfect Steak on a Gas Grill

#1 issue is that most people don't let it rest.

I wrap mine in foil immediately off the grill for 10-15 minutes.

Love meat on the grill.. I'm actually gonna go out and spend a bunch on a new outdoor gas grill set up in my back yard area.. My current one isn't cutting it anymore.

You don't like steaks? Isn't Russian steak marinade from Russia? Which is awesome. Houston has a couple good Russian restaurants. I like beef stroganoff and pastrami sandwich. NY has some incredible Russian restaurants.

Yeah you're right- Russians are big on meat...especially pork, steaks and all sorts of different dry and salt cured ham like prosciutto, pancetta...etc.
Back in day my grandparents had a little farm, so I overindulged myself on all that stuff in my teens and then decided to completely change my diet in my twenties.
Now I do wild salmon about 4-5 times week (I physically drive to the Gulf of Finland once every two weeks or so to get the fish straight from the boat) and then chicken or turkey on day 6 and 7.
I also can go for a week or longer without eating any meat and it wouldn't bother me one bit.

When you incorporate lots of veggies and fruits into your diet, after a while, your body simply stops craving juicy steaks and pork chops.

if you guys haven't tried an Infrared BBQ yet i definitely recommend trying it out makes great steaks. The price is reasonable now also has come down a lot of the last couple years.

Lamb chops for me tonight.. Just grubbed them... Didn't take a picture though ..

Looked like this though, had 10 of them and full and kicking now.. Lean protein boys.. Works every time with a little pepper and garlic powder on top..

Lamb chops are bomb jibby I like to pan fry them. Very good expensive though

Very important to make sure steaks are not too cold prior to being cooked.

The worst steaks I ever cooked were cold using an under heated skillet...4 prime tbone wasted...and I was cooking for friends...fk

now I let them get to ambient outside temp, wrapped in foil with sea salt fresh cracked pepper, occasionally garlic and onions. Whatever you like. I use a gas grill with cast-iron grill plates. Over time the plates are seasoned and then you've hit the jackpot...also heat that thing up, for cast Iron I let it preheat for an hour more at 400, I turn 90deg every 1/4th of cook time. After one turn, flip and repeat for even cooking a good grill marks.

a ribeye 1in thick I might do 8 to 12 min total cook time for me. All about how hot your surface is. Let Rest until the temp you like it. Practice makes perfect.

Do you eat it cold?

I put in wrapped in foil in a warm Yeti20. In 3-4 hours the internal temp drops from 200-205 f
down to only 130 or so. In that time the meat then retains the moisture back into the cut.
