Go to rental place. buy one of their used ones. usually can get the whole gear less than $100 for sure.

Go to Beijing or Bangkok, u can get tailormade ones, 3 suits for 200$, they will take ur measurements on one day and deliver u the suits in the next day.

I go there more or less once a year and get the better fabric they have at around 400$ a suit. Very good deal. Every company in Beijing will have a contact from a good tailor

Dont get a tuxedo. Get a conservative but stylish 3 piece suit. More versatile. Tuxedo is useless and a nice suit will look just as good.

Just the jacket for something business casual, 2 piece for business occasions and 3 piece for anything stupid formal such as new years eve.

Every man should own at least one nice suit. Or a bunch of jackets and pants. They are investment.
