I was going to take the Beavers (+6.5) @ -120 but didn't pull the trigger....I'm taking a serious look at LSU (+5), Oregon (+5.5), and Oklahoma (+14.5) vs. gonzaga!...Isn't that a shitload of points for a damn good, solid Sooner team?...yes, Zags fukked me the other night vs. Norfolk ST, but Oklahoma is a whole different animal...I know Harmon is out for the game but he didn't play in the Missouri game and the Sooners still beat the Tigers (who are no push overs)....thoughts, comments, opinions?Comment -

I don't trust michigan, I like LSU but avoiding that game. Two Big10 vs. SEC games tomorrow, I like Bama over maryland better.
I would not fade the Zags, even on the spread, they are just that much better than any other team. Think about Kentucky the year they had Anthony Davis, just double digit + blowouts every game. I think we see Houston vs Gonzaga in the finals.

Gonzaga is the whole different animal here.
I really work this shit from all angles and haven't seen the sum of a team so much farther ahead of the pack than Gonzaga in a long time.
Like I said, Anthony Davis comes to mind.
But Alabama is another different animal.
Something like 98% of their game is dunks and 3 pointers. They don't take jumpers, at all. And they are skilled at what they do.
Bama could be a force to reckon with down the stretch in the tourney.

I think spread too, to be honest. Should be the blowout the Houston couldn't muster tonight. At that point, dogs should be hard to come by.
But I haven't taken the spread, yet.
With Bama when I say dunk I also mean layups. Point being it's inside and downtown, no mid range plays at all drawn up, or about 2 to 3 in every 100 plays.
It's crazy and much like I predicted the game of baseball changing when TB first started messing with starting pitchers and putting some guys in for an inning or two before the starter or having the starter pitch 3 innings and then go fresh, much like that...I would not be surprised if the game of basketball evolves in the direction of what Alabama is doing now.

And look at Gonzaga's spread.
You can view it two legitimate ways. It's either the sitting duck that's waiting to be picked off in the upset because it's "least probable to happen" or that the books really can't make a spread big enough. When you pull back that cursory look of of a veil, behind the scene formula show that if the books go where they want too, they could get one sided by the public. Clearly that's not their aim.
If they put high enough to get the dog pounded, and then they move the line, they create steam and even more dog money.
So here's the deal. It's like poker, it takes patience. When the line finally drops, if it does, you'll be wondering, was it too high and now there's steam? It could be that the line is just right and sharps are on the dog spread, forcing an adjustment downward.
That's where patience and knowing the cards come into play. Without some sort of structure, a bettor has no hope. The formula are designed to tell us where the line should be. That way, we can call the bluff or at least know if it's a high low game which way the book is going.
If they gather the public spread support, they just might try to bluff us, and we'll call.
But as far as losing a game, I'm not expecting that from Gonzaga, at all.
