nah, your good. You wasnt stopping me any. Was just lettin you know what I was doing lol.
Jordan was my favorite player growing up . When i found out I was going to have a child
we had the name Jordan already picked out for a boy, found out she was a girl so we named her Jordyn
As I have gotten older I have noticed how big of a egotistical prick he was, but damn you couldnt argue with his
skill level, drive, and success on the hardwood

#20422Fidel, I'll give you my honest and blunt opinion on MJ....No disrespect intended but if the refs had called the number of times he walked, traveled, carried, double dribbled, etc. he wouldn't have half of his points...he was a great player no doubt about it and yes, one of the best of all time considering his career statistics...but this is why the NBA is garbage...because we all know that the refs don't call walks or very rarely...also I still can't get over on that no call on MJ's blatant and deliberate push off on Bryon Russell on the game winning shot of the NBA finals against the Jazz...any other player, and it's an easy offensive foul and the Jazz win the game and the series is tied up 3 - 3 and who knows what would have happened in game 7...It was right then and there when I knew the individual player had become greater than the team and more importantly, the game and why the NBA sucks...Everybody wanted to see Michael get one more ring before he retired for good.Comment -

#20423True. Jordan got away with some traveling. But what superstar doesn't , its one thing in the game that will
always be there. Jordans legacy can never be tarnished. He played in a more physical era then we have now.
Ive heard many old timers mention how ticky tack fouls are called these days. If Jordan played in this era ,
with the training equipment and brilliant medical minds the sky would be the limit... and some.
The Byron Russel thing will always be a 50/50 argument. IM not even sure where I stand on it.
Jordan made his teamattes around him better because of one thing. His uncanny desire to win was infectiousComment -

#20426tough call on this one. One could say its a push off.
One could also say that Russels momentum would of sent him flailing just enough to where
he would not of contested Jordans shot much anyways. And lets be honest, Jordan
still hit 60-70% of his jumpers with someone all up in his grill like it wasnt shit.
Yeah its controversial, but he still had to make the 19 foot jumper with the Finals on the line

#20428"I'll always remember this as the night that Michael Jordan and I combined for 70 points. "

#20431yo Grapes. Whats your opinion on the Jordan/Byron Russel historic play.
BTW, imagine being a Utah Jazz fan, how many times did Jordan break their hearts.
If a Jazz fan still likes Jordan, thats when you know he was great.Comment -

#20434How Jordan played the refs was part of his greatness. Him getting calls doesn't take anything away from him being the greatest. He did whatever it took to win, including getting in the good graces of refs with autographs, being friendly, etc. Gaining an advantage by breaking the rules without being penalized is part of being a pro athlete, something to commend. He was the greatest baller, not the greatest person. I'm alright with him being a piece of shit human being off the court, I admire him for his basketball skills. Did you know MJ smoked a cigar before every home game on the bus ride downtown? Him and the Bulls of the 90s brought a lot of joy to the world to people of all ages and backgrounds.Comment -

#20435He clearly pushed off, was it enough to be called a foul at the end of the game though? Making calls is a subjective thing, that's part of the randomness/beauty of sports, unpredictable. The son of a bitch pulled it off though, got the separation, and knocked it down, gotta give him props.Comment -

#20437I'm not denying that MJ unfairly got the calls or that he kissed ass. Doesn't ruin sports at all though. Catchers move their gloves towards the strike zone to sell a ball as a strike. Basketball players flop and sell calls all the time. NFL players push off to create separation all the time, tangle with defenders to try to get pass interference calls. Soccer players fall down all the time. Sports are still fun.Comment -

#20438Glad the Bulls brought you the dough. To make this point, refs don't blow whistles near the end of big games from what I've observed.Comment -

#20440Had some good times watching with family, so MJ and the Bulls are holy to me. I feel on you on Jordan though, the league/refs favors the guy bringing in the millions. As long as we're stating facts, nobody talks about the Mailman spacing out and letting the ball be stolen, everyone blames the refs.Comment
