But I concurred with your earlier assessment in almost all regards and then from the opening play from scrimmage, the game went to shit.If it weren't for the serious scientific work I am engaged in measuring the effects of opioids, cannaboids, alcohol, and benzodiazepines I would have been livid and destroyed mentally and physically...Comment -

#19512@Fidel and Count,
Listen up, Fellas...Great defense usually trumps great offense...It's been proven over and over again in the history of this league....and those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it...I didn't understand how so many people and "sharp" money were Denver...Before I wager on the Superbowl, I always ask which team was more impressive in their respective conferences and who did they beat?...The Seahawks beat a juggernaut offensive team in the Saints and I'm not even sure if TE Jimmy Graham even had a catch....Drew Brees was held in check and if not for a late garbage TD the final score would have been 23 - 8....and then the following week beat a San Fran team that was hotter than a fresh fukked fox in a forest fire!...Everybody and their brother had the niners going all the way, well except for a couple of us.......but fifth time in NFL SB history that #1 defense has played #1 offense and now the big D is 4 - 1...
....having said all that, pick your head up guys!...plenty of NCAA hoops!....and baseball will be here before you know it!...

#19513it was only a single loss to me. One normal wager of many that happened to lose instead of win
Wanted to see Jmons team win it though, and Manning to win it for 2 dif teams.Comment -

#19514Wonder what San Fran would of done if they held that lead in the 4th against Seattle and played the Broncos.
Hell, I kinda feel like the Niners might of ragged Broncos a bit as well.....Comment -

#19517I think the 49'ers would have won by a couple of TD's as well....I think it's quite obvious this year, NFC > AFC....or more specifically, the two best teams in the NFL were the Seahawks and the Niners...Comment -

Out of the 4 teams that were left.
Broncos,Seahawks,Niners,Patriots
Did you know who was the best team left overall, stat wise, out of those 4 teams?
San Fran 49ers were by the overall numbers believe it or not. Surprised me when I saw that myself.Comment -

#19522Niners were the better team imo
playing 4 straight weekends on the road and 3 road playoff games with the final in at Seahawks was as tall of a feat any team could be asked to accomplish. That being said they all but did the unthinkable.Comment -

yeah, why i wished the Niners would of held on . Seattle put themselves in terrible situations all year long
but they still won those games. Just like the Niners game, Seahawks somehow got the W though.
Gotta give it up to Seattle
they represented in the big game... win or lose.. San Fran would not of put up that lopsided of a victoryComment -

#19530not surprised at all, brotha Fidel...but as we all know, stats don't always tell the whole story...Bottom line, Seattle beat San Fran two out of three times this year meaning they were clearly the better team regardless of how competitive the games were...another thing to remember is that the Patriots were injury riddled on both sides of the ball...I would have love to seen what would have happened if the Pats had a healthy Gronk at TE!...New England is a totally different team with him on the field and at 100%....and I love Peyton Manning as much as the next guy and I'm sure as hell not going to bash him like other idiots on this board are already doing, but truth be told, most of his stats, numbers, and production this year were basically dinks and dunks regardless of the records that he set...It's whole different ballgame when you line up against a physical defense like Seattle's and with CB's that like to play tight, press, coverage.Comment
