Let it be known im not betting this either way... but if I was to make a pick it would be Ben Smooooth Henderson

Benson is not a chump when it comes to the hands man.

He has fought some of the best "boxers"/"strikers" in the division and more then held his own,

in fighting and beating Frankie Edgar (twice) and Nate Diaz.

Pettis last 2 fights were won in the first round.

This one expects to be similar to the first fight... a long grueling match

I think Pettis brings more of a flair in his abilities then Benson

but Smooth can hurt u worse then your thinking when it comes to his knees and elbows.

Fight is one the could go either way... is all im saying.

I think the Champ fights a better tactical fight and wins by a decision.

But since im not betting it ...

I wouldnt mind seeing Pettis catch him with one of those unorthodox kicks for a K.O since

you got some cash on it. Hope its a interesting fight either way.

Hell yeah, tonight college football. I bought a shit load of teasers for tonight's action. I got South Carolina and Rutgers/Fresno St. over on a teaser. I'm still thinking about if I want to make anymore wagers. Without a preseason, it's hard as hell to put money on week one. Betting blind sucks.

I am a fan of Benson Henderson, too. I told Herb right after the Anderson Silva fight that Benson was one of the most entertaining and best fighters in the game. That he fights like a Tekken game character. When I was
explaining that the days of Gracie style UFC are over.

Smooth reminds me of Money May. They both have the abilities to avoid big hits and always seem to leave a fight with no damage. Frankie Edgar is one bad ass muthaffucka, no doubt. Of course, so are the Diaz bros, but they in no way possess the same KO power as Showtime Pettis.

You actually think the judges are going to side with Henderson if it goes the distance?

I just don’t see how that is going to be possible cuz Pettis will be the aggressor the entire fight. Pettis doesn't fear getting hit by Benson. Showtime has never been KO’d in a fight his entire career. Pettis fears losing by decision and submission. I think he will be prepared for that.

Benson has been in 22 career fights. 11 of the 22 fights were won by decision and 8 of them were won by submission. Out of those 22 fights, Benson has won by TKO twice. The ONLY way Benson wins this fight will be by submission. If I was Pettis, I would cover my body in baby oil, so Benson can’t get a submission locked in.

Pettis can beat Benson by decision, submission, TKO, and KO. Pettis can win in 3 different ways and Benson walks into this fight one dimensional, IMHO. Both of Showtime’s losses have been by decision. One was spit and the other unanimous. If this was a 3 round fight, I would be worried about losing by decision, but it’s a 5 round fight and that gives Pettis the edge in this fight.

I have ZERO fear of Pettis losing this fight by decision, TKO or KO. NONE! My biggest fear is Pettis losing by submission. Every time I close my eyes and play the fight out in my head. I can only see Pettis possibly losing this fight by submission. Most likely by rear-naked choke.

Should be a fight to remember.

Doing good Herb..I'm not setting out for the hell of it. I like to get settled in, let my situations start flowing in NFL..I may have a couple the first week, more the second...no worries pal I'll make the contest minimum.

Hit KC and TB un 8.5 today, working with Sea -125 and Mia un 7.5 tonight. You have any college foots for me to tail? I don't play much in college, but Rutgers +10.5 is standing out to me. Decent bowl team last year (9-4) that lost their last three games so I think are getting a generous line here. 11 returning starters, including their QB, top WR and four offensive lineman. I hope their +10 TO differential last year continues, but only with 6 returning starters. I think they keep it within 10.5.
