Ok guys, outside of the Black and Gold dark Mode give me one reason to post at BMR.

A quick review shows the same unstable posters that couldn't get it together at SBR just eating themselves alive, fighitng with each other.

And between those posts they are still complaining and talking shit about SBR without every actually saying anything specific about why they hate SBR and it's people.

And between those posts they talk about how BMR is so great, again with zero specifics.

Common folks, what's the appeal of BMR?

Did you ready the studies and results?

Not sure this is a question of belief, it most definitely warrants further study just based on what seen in those studies alone.

That said, there's already a body of research guiding those studies.

Crazy, but if you digest the papers, it's not all that unreasonable at all.

And that's the realy crazy part.

Maybe if environmental medicine thought about the positive sides of the environment, this would be common knowledge and practice.

I just dunno.

It's all so crazy. I will say this, I was directed to the concept (and thus did my own research) by medical doctors and anesthesiologists that, at least in this area to the Bay, are very good (some the best at what they do) and cutting edge.

Was talking shit/skepticism, thanks for the elaboration. Didn't read the studies too closely but saw promising things. Respected doctors certainly leads credibility to the idea from an initial investigation. I know there's a lot of holistic doctors in California who do medical marijuana referrals, not sure if it was some phony stuff or alternate medicine that isn't accepted by mainstream health care. Was hoping for more recent studies with bigger samples. Not sure how often studies are released, if that is a typical normal time since the last studies were released or if it has been a long layoff. The idea of it sounds so foreign, you have to connect to Earth's electrical circuit to reach equilibrium. Even the term "Earthing" sounds funny to me. I can say that I always felt refreshed, and I kept doing it just clear the head and relax, it seemed to work.

Not saying it was the earhting at play, just chilling on the beach is relaxing anyway. The sound of ocean has established effects, so does white noise.

So who knows what was at play there.

In one of the studies they have people get sore by engaging in an excercise or activity they had not done before, similar to getting sore after a workout you haven't done in a long time.

Then they had them sleep in a "grounded" bed that was earthing and then some slept in a regular bed, no grounding.

There was a difference in the groups both with what they self report (which can be nebulous) and measure of, if I remember, cortisol levels.

Something is at play there, but I'm with you as far as wanting to see more. That's why I posted it, and was thinking of you. I usually don't learn much from the doctors, but it's more like a refresher of things I already know or have practiced in the past.

Chelsea will have an American owner soon.

Some financial shenanigans but it looks they'll let a deal go through. I thin it's down to 4 groups trying to get it, and it's a close race.

For those who don't know, the owner of Chelsea, a Russian oligarch said he would sell the club and give the proceeds to Ukraine when Putin invaded.

But two days later the oligarchs were sanctioned and nobody could do business with Abramovich, the Chelsea owner. Therefore, he could not legally sell the club to anyone.

Even worse, the players could not legally get a paycheck from the owner, as it would be doing business with him. Of course exceptions to the sanctions started getting written for the day to day operations, but being able to sell the club was still sticky.

It appears to be getting unstuck.

After every game, the MLB releases an incredible amount of data. In fact, every single pitch brings back more than 30 different characteristics. Umpire Auditor uses this data to track (or audit) the performance of MLB umpires, primarily by calculating the rate at which these umpires correctly calculate balls and strikes.

The application returns the worst call of the night, every night, chosen as such for being the called strike furthest from the strike zone. In addition, umpire performance statistics are calculated for each game and cumulatively. A task is run everyday at 8:30 AM eastern that updates and tweets the worst call from @umpireauditor. The gifs are not made programatically and are pretty much created whenever I wake up/get into work that day.
