Thanks, lucky choice of lineups. Was just happy to see someone putting up some real money for a game. Was getting some $250 games going for a few weeks there, but those all disappeared.

That was a nice little run there when they had those - I don't even see the option there anymore - now I see that it is there again.

Yeah, you can still create them, no one seems to join. I don't like to start games, I prefer to join them.

Digging into the Nunya bargain bin here, have any good deals for Vegas flights that I am not finding? Newark to Vegas Jan 2-4 looking like it will run me $550 - $850 depending on return time and stops.

                                        That's a crazy price, I'll do a quick look.

Do you gamble much at all? Have a relationship with a host? Harrah's will usually fly me out for free during non-peak season. Call them and see.

Found a RT from Korea-ATL for $300 yesterday.

$322 if you can leave on the 1st instead of the 2nd.

                                          $322.00 + $45.20 (taxes) = $367.20

Do you gamble much at all? Have a relationship with a host? Harrah's will usually fly me out for free during non-peak season. Call them and see.

Found a RT from Korea-ATL for $300 yesterday.
Yes, I gamble a lot. However, I do not have a great relationship with any of the casinos and have not been to Vegas as an adult, so do not think I am getting any favors like that.

$367 would be worth the extra night if I can move my work obligations for Friday morning. Not sure that is going to fly though.

Might be worthwhile to check other nearby airports for better deals. The local airport in my area is usually about $200 higher than driving an hour to the nearest metro airport.

Check spirit, allegiant, jetblue, and southwests websites seperately as they don't usually show up on aggregators.

Actually, I see why that price is a different price then you're coming up with, they changed the return date to the 6th instead of the 4th. It's still available at that price on those dates.

Otherwise $537 is the cheapest for the 1st - 4th.

They used to have this diamond in a day promo where if you earned a certain number of points in a day (10,000 I think it was, 25,000 maybe), you got diamond status for a year, which gives you a number of perks, including cutting the line at every restaurant, entrance to their diamond lounges (which is basically free food anytime you want it). Plus value of the cash comp and future coupon mailers.

Anyway, I valued that at around $10k being that I was full-time on the poker tour then. I found a 100 play 5 cent deuces machine in Laughlin that paid close to 100%, and ground out the points in about 5 hours. Been on the comp train ever since. It gets less and less every year as my average play drops (I still do some advantage blackjack).

I've had probably 150 nights comped all over the country, 3 free flights rt, free food for a year, about $1500 in cash comps, cost me $500 at the video poker machine.

Oh, and you get a "companion card" you're supposed to give to your SO, so they get all the advantages you get for being Diamond. I sold it to another poker player for $2500.

Alas, they don't do the diamond in a day program anymore.

If you are going to give them action, talk to a host before you check in and negotiate. Give ALL of your action to ONE family of casinos. Harrahs or MGM in my opinion, but if you're not staying with them, probably your own casino. Charge all your meals to your room. Before you check out, talk to your host and ask him to comp your entire stay and food. They'll likely not comp your food, but its worth asking for.

The comp your host gives you does not come out of your casino points. So, if you have a balance for anything, now use your points at the front desk to pay for it. You should stat seeing cash and coupon mailers in your mailbox in a few weeks.

Also, make sure you hit up the Cosmo $100 freeplay deal, its worth quite a bit more than that. I've mentioned how to beat it in this thread somewhere in the past.

If any of you low-rollers are looking for Vegas comps. Give action to the Riviera, The Gold Coast, and any downtown properties. You can pretty much count on getting free (yucky) room offers for several years after that.

I played at Riviera one time when they had a $1000 loss rebate going on. I've gotten offers for 3 free nights plus all sorts of amenities every month since then.

                                                                        Cosmo $100 slot rebate promo:

Lots of casinos do these, check the casinos in your area to see if anyone is offering them. They are almost always easy money with no risk.

Generally, a slot rebate works like so: You have 24 hours from when you sign up to lose x amount of dollars. If you lose that amount you go back to the players club and get reimbursed in freeplay.

So, how do you beat it? Your goal with the initial run is to win huge or lose. Your optimal play is to take the largest risk in the least number of spins possible. One spin on a slot machine for the whole amount is ideal, or video poker if they allow it (most do), if they allow table games, taking it to roulette and putting it all on one number. So, you have a tiny chance of winning huge, or a large chance of losing $100 (or whatever the promo amount is).

So, after you lose, you get the $100 credited to your card, take it to the smallest video poker machine you can find, and play through the amount once, your expectation is to cash out around $99. So, you're risking $1 to win potentially millions.

The Cosmo one is slightly different, you don't have 24 hours to lose the money, you can claim it ANY day. So, if you win on your try today, you can try to win again the next day, and the next day, until you finally have a losing day. So, you should be a little more conservative on your initial days, I would stick to video poker and hope to just double up each day so you can retry the next. I went 4 days I think before I finally had a losing day.

They also let you spin a prize wheel after doing it, won a free ticket to their amazing buffet, so value there on top.
