Concealed weapons could be allowed in 'gun-free zones' under bill headed to Michigan Gov. Snyder

The bill would let people with concealed carry permits carry their guns in certain areas now off limits - unless those areas decided to post signs prohibiting guns.

Not at all. Safer this way. Much riskier for thugs/rapists/ etc to take advantage if they think everyone is or might be carrying also

Individuals licensed to concealed carry could no longer openly carry a pistol in the zones unless given express written consent by the owner. People who openly carry now can go in many areas off limits to concealed-weapon carriers, which Green said is because of a loophole.

It wasn't in any ill intent. I do believe maybe some lives coulda been saved if some school authority was armed. We had metal detectors and guards in my middle and high school. I see lot of the suburban schools don't and I don't understand. With the way the world is sick now, should be mandatory for all schools to have metal detectors and an armed guard on point. Some may find this stupid, I think it's the safest approach. Especially in schools 6-12.

I don't think cross fire inside a school is ever the answer.
